During the Orhangazi period, covered bazaars started to be created by covering the spaces between the inns with a roof and the first state of the Grand Bazaar was formed in this way. In the following years, the old coppersmiths' bazaars were added to Sahaflar, Akatlar, İvaz Paşa, Gelincik, Sipahiler, Karacabey (Yorgancılar, Sandıkçılar) and formed the Grand Bazaar. The bazaar, which was completely burned down in 1958, was rebuilt; not as a single storey as in the first case; The ground floor from the bottom was built at street level and on either side of the roads as shops and upper floors of shops. The top of the bazaar was also covered in a modern way. Ivaz Pasha and Old Coppersmiths' Bazaars, which were left uncovered after they were destroyed in the 1855 earthquake, were also restored in 1960 and covered.
